My life - 2041

It’s year 2041 and it’s early in the morning. The alarm just woke me up with a load noise and turning on and off the light until I go up and turn off the alarm.

The breakfast is served in the kitchen of the family’s maid (a robot). The robot is helping us with everything from cooking, cleaning, laundry, go to the grocery store, and answering the phone.

It’s not that common with cars as it was 2011. Nowadays we have something we could compare with the undergrounds/subways. We have the same network, but we don’t need to wait for the train, because everybody got their own train. It’s very extensive and you can almost go wherever you want. The only thing I need to go in the morning when I go aboard on my train is to push the “school”-button. When school ends I call my train and tell it where to pick me up, very convenient.

Most of the days I manage school from home. Most of our classes are online and we only meet the professor once or twice per semester. Online we can watch the lectures, do all assignments and presentations and of course e-mail and skype our professor and classmates.

The content of the education would be about the same comparing to 2011. What I can see it hasn’t changed that much over the years before (looking back in time). It’s still important with history, language, math, business, science etc. The only difference would be that the research developed and has come up with lots of new things.

When I am done with school for the day I call my train and it will pick me up and drive me back home. I start to get hungry so I walk into the kitchen. Our robot-maid gives me, without asking the menu. It’s a tablet and it has everything you can imagine. Today I wanted to have Japanese food, I press the button and after 30 seconds, the robot picks up the food for me in our super-microwave.

There’s a football game tonight, and my favorite team is playing. Even if the game isn’t on the home arena my friends and I take the train to the game. The transportation from our place to the arena, which is 500 miles only take 15 minutes. After the game we take the train back home and it’s time for go to bed.

  1. That alarm turning on and off the lights until you got up to turn it off would be very effective and very annoying.

  2. I like how the transportation is a lot quicker! 500 miles in 15 minutes, sounds so exhilarating.
